About Us
Julie Zeisler Consulting provides strategic grant writing and government affairs services for established non-profits in Los Angeles County and across California. We offer two core services:
- Grant proposal writing and project management
- Assistance with local and state government advocacy in California.
Julie Zeisler has successfully applied for and been awarded over $30 million in grants for clients. Ms. Zeisler has extensive experience writing and project managing large-scale, multi-partner applications sourced from both government and foundation sources in the areas of mental health, homeland security, public safety, education, and social services (examples include LA County Dept. of Mental Health Innovations Grant, Department of Justice, Promise Neighborhoods, etc.). Additionally, Ms. Zeisler is a noted expert in the federal and state Nonprofit Security Grants and has raised over $2 million for a range of non-profits at risk of attack due to beliefs and mission.
We understand that relationships are key to influencing policy that impacts nonprofits and their clients. By developing relationships with elected officials and legislative staff, nonprofits are empowered to advocate for legislation and funding that impacts their communities and clients. Julie Zeisler Consulting can assist nonprofit clients with their advocacy needs, including connecting clients to lawmakers and sponsors of legislation; developing lobbying materials; researching relevant legislation; building coalitions with similar organizations; and helping clients develop their legislative priorities. Our knowledge of how government operates, ability to reach decision makers, and skill to communicate the right message ensure our clients achieve positive results.
