Relationship Building
- Connect clients to elected officials, lawmakers, key decision makers and legislative staff
Representation
- Attend civic and government events, committee hearings, and conferences (subject to availability) on behalf of clients
Research and Recommendations
- Guide clients in crafting and developing their legislative priorities and “asks”
- Develop advocacy materials and talking points for clients
- Research relevant legislation related to client’s interests and goals
- Research government-funded programs that impact client’s services
- Alert clients to government funding opportunities where applicable
Coalition-building
- Identify like-minded coalitions for clients to join in order to influence legislation
